Our Veggie & Herb Mix is ideal for building raised beds for veggies, herbs and edible flowers.

Fertilization:

Fertilize with an organic fertilizer such as Microlife Ultimate or an equivalent 8-4-6 fertilizer at the initial rate of 4-5 lb.s per 100 sq.ft. feet of raised bed area per season and then at 2-3 lb.s per 100 sq.ft. of bed area for each subsequent season.

Mulching:

For transplants, mulch with a 1.5” layer of Heirloom Soils Composted Hardwood Mulch once your plants are at least 4” tall. Then thicken the mulch layer to 3” once your plants are approaching mature height. Only dust the soil with a light layer of mulch after planting seeds.

Ingredients: Leaf mold compost, fungal compost, composted soil fines, aged black pine, cured coco coir, expanded shale, granite sand, torpedo sand and a mycorrhizal (fungi) inoculant.
